Geometric Color Patterns

This project was an early experiment in my Color Theory class where, as designers, we branched away from paint and into the adobe software. Starting out we focused on creating striking compositions in black and white, not to be distracted by color, but just composition. After many iterations were made and we narrowed our choices, we then began to experiment with how different colors interacted with one another. Once our colors were dialed in, we then experimented with applying different color schemes to different patterns. It was only in the end we discovered these would actually be used as thank you cards to be sent out. Year - 2014

These are the final four composition/color combinations that I chose to present as my options for geometric color patterns that would eventually become Thank You Cards.

Below are some black and white sketches that showed good composition and that I used to go forward and experiment with color, and would eventually become the final product.
