Jackson Hole Moose Rugby Football Club
The Jackson Hole Moose Rugby Football Club is an amateur rugby team based out of Jackson, Wyoming at the base of the Teton range. Both the Men's and Women's side play teams from Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, and all over the west. The original concept of this design was not a rebrand for the club, but to celebrate three decades of Moose Rugby. After doing some research for the project, I discovered that the team was actually founded in 1990, with a few gap years in the early stages of the club, and at the height of the Covid pandemic. That shifted the focus of the project, and the main visuals from celebrating thirty years of the team, to a commemorative patch embracing the long history of the club instead of a specific milestone. The concept behind the badge was to incorporate/embrace current parts of the club's crest, while giving it a modern approach to a classic sports logo from the late 19th and early 20th century.
