Typographic Installation
This is the typographic installation my partner and I created that was part of a class project for Typography III. Groups of two or three students were handed a handful of typographic articles/videos and were charged with creating a typographic installation on the third floor of the Richmond Center for the Visual Arts. Inspired by a Marian Bantjes Ted Talk, with emphasis on a set of questions she said we should always ask ourselves during the design process. Who is it for? What does it say? What does it do? This is what we decided on as a visual to represent those questions we should always keep in mind during the design process. The scale is 10 x 7 feet tall and made with over 1,120 post it notes. This was the first project we had done as an installation and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the process of small sketches we had made, become large scale pieces for other students to see. Year - 2016
