White Noise Editorial

This was an editorial project for my Type III class, with two main goals in mind. The first was to create a one-of-a-kind display type to use for the cover spread, and the second to create a six page magazine spread using an article that has to do with some type of movement. The article I chose to use was from Outside Magazine in April of 2013. The article focuses on the skiers/snowboarders involved in the incident. With that in mind I wanted to take a visual approach to the article that was not as dark, and focus on the beauty of the backcountry and why these athletes go out into it all the time. In regard to the type choices and layout, I wanted to keep a simple and conservative look that would not distract the readers. Year - 2016
